UPDATE ON AGGRAVATED ROBBERIES

The Corpus Christi Police Department has worked tirelessly to investigate armed robberies of local businesses within our city. As officers and investigators have been compiling intelligence, our patrol officers have been proactively patrolling our city while also actively searching for the offenders.

Within the last 24-hours the Corpus Christi Police Department has placed six adults and two juveniles into custody on mostly unrelated charges. These eight individuals are all considered to be persons of interest in recent armed robberies. The Corpus Christi Police Department is still actively investigating these series of robberies at local businesses, each one remains an open investigation at this time.

Investigators do expect to obtain several arrest warrants on these aggravated robbery cases. Investigators also anticipate making additional identifications and apprehensions in the coming weeks as we believe there may be more accomplices.

During their investigation, Detectives have identified 19-year-old Jasmine Gonzales as a person they believe may have some information related to a number of the recent robberies. Detectives are now seeking assistance from the public to locate the whereabouts of this person of interest. Jasmine Gonzales, seen in the attached photo, does have an outstanding warrant out of Live Oak County for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle ($50,000 Bond). Jasmine Gonzales is described as standing 5’06”, approximately 170 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

In the last 24-hours we have released surveillance images and video seeking information from the public to identify armed robbery suspects and we want to express our thanks to the community for their assistance with our investigation. We will continue to work as an equal partner with the community in order to reduce crime, reduce the fear of crime, and enhance public safety.

The safety of our community is one of our department’s highest priorities. We want to stress that crimes such as these will not be taken lightly; we will continue to make sure those responsible are identified and we will work alongside the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office to make sure they are successfully prosecuted.
